Outlook crashes randomly - bad Microsoft security patch KB 3097877

To uninstall bad Windows Update:

Open Control Panel --> Programs and Features -->View Installed Updates (left side of the window) -->Search for KB2097877 (top right search box on the window) --> Right-click --> Uninstall

Reboot the computer...

Update: If your Outlook stuck on splash screen and refuses to open try to run Outlook /safe command (add-ins disabled) from start menu and check if any add-in responsible for preventing your Outlook from opening correctly.
