Can't open Microsoft Word or Excel attachements in Outlook 2016 - the file is corrupt!

Via Options open Trust CenterProtected View and deselect all three Protected View options... This needs to be done under each Microsoft Office 2016 app (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) to make sure no Microsoft Office attachments will get blocked by default.

If you do not trust every Microsoft Office attachment you receive via email and would like to leave your Protected View active, save each attachment individually under desktop or any other folder, select and right-click on it, click Properties, and Unblock it under General tab.

You can now bypass new security feature of Microsoft Office 2016 which prevents legitimate users from being productive and allows malicious threats to come in with virtually no resistance... Enjoy!
